Hi, I have several (15+) machines that are all identical hardware wise (same SSD, same motherboard, ram, video card, etc). We are using these machines for demo reasons. All machines come with Win 8 OEM and we are upgrading them to 8.1 using the Microsoft store (Long process) and all have the same software on them.
The machine is a Core i5 and UEFI bios. When the machines come back from being users, we have to reimage the machine and then download the 8.1 update and then reinstall the software. It's a huge PITA.
I was wondering, without opening the machines, if there was a way that someone could recommend to make an exact backup of the machine, store it on an external hard drive and then boot something from that hard drive to restore the image to the machine (or machines). We've tried misc backup software with limited success. Ideas?
