My Google-Fu isn't coming up with anything on this one.
Outlook 2010. Windows 7 64-bit. USRobotics USB modem (I can get the exact model if necessary). On another similar computer, the same works fine in Outlook as far as dialing. On this particular laptop, it will bring up the dialing dialog, but when we hit the button to dial, nothing happens. It never picks up the line.
If I go into the Windows Dialer and ask it to dial, it picks up the line and dials. From what I understand, that's all Outlook does is hand the dialing request off to Windows.
The machine has Lync installed, so the TAPIOVERRIDE value has been added to the registry to get it to use the Windows Dialer instead of Lync.
Any ideas as to why Outlook isn't dialing while Windows is?
