[Outlook] Outlook 2010 - Are trial keys available

I rebuilt the O/S of a family member's laptop and added a retail license of Microsoft Home and Student 2010. I checked Word and Excel which I knew were used and there weren't any issues. The family member brought up Outlook and ended up in an activation loop. I'm thinking this is because the Outlook included was a trial version. My problem is that upon opening the software, all the emails were loaded into the account and I cannot get to them. She had been using Outlook Express from Office 2003 I think. I used the Acronis Image of the laptop that I made before formatting the system. When I go back to that the .pst file is tiny and when I go into Outlook Express there are only 10 emails. I've since reverted back to the rebuilt OS Image that I made after getting all the software up to date (except for Outlook). When I click on Outlook, I begin the endless activation loop. The .pst file still seems too small. She says says has about 100 emails left after having deleted about 2000 just before I began working on the system. Is there any type of temporary key to use that will allow me to simply get in and export her mail messages? I've called the MS Activation folks but they didn't really understand the issue and wanted me to uninstall and reinstall MS Office 2010. If I do this, won't I lose the email messages already downloaded into Outlook? Is there any way to get to her emails? I have multiple images.
