This past weekend, I installed a second hard drive into my desktop; I want to specifically mention that this is additional hard drive for extra storage and I kept my original hard drive. After installing the hard drive, I got the blue screen of death and then Windows would not boot. I had to do a complete wipe after learning that the Windows repair disk and then my system image did not work. I still got the blue screen of death a few times after that but in the last 48 or so hours, it seems has to stop. Now, I can't get all of the Windows updates to install. Some have worked, but others like Windows 7 service pack 1 has not installed. The specific error codes I'm getting is 800B0100 and 9C47. I used Microsoft Fix It and it said it fixed the errors but the error still happens. Apparently there is a aggressive mode but I am not sure how I can run it.
Is there an alternative way to fix this or to download and install the Windows Updates? Or am I going to have to do a complete wipe again and/or get rid of the new HDD?
