Have been trying to install IE 11 on Win7 Sp1, all updates current on a Lenovo ThinkPad W520, which is not affected by the video card glitch on some systems.
Have installed and uninstalled several times over the past two weeks, with no success. IE simply will not load and just spins and spins. Have tried from shortcuts, Program files, etc... Have tried offline installation, direct download and through Windows Update, but nothing works. Have to keep reverting to IE 8.
I remember there is a way to force IE to load either through msconfig, Task Manager or another system tool, but I can't recall exactly which tool or how. If someone knows what I mean, please refresh my memory.
