Windows 7, Office/Outlook 2003, for the past couple of years with no problem. This seems to be the same as posted 1/17/2011 by JVMorris.
Start up Outlook, after 10 seconds it dies with the 'Microsoft Office Outlook Has Stopped Working' error. Same behavior running in safe move, regardless of the parameters /Safe:n. I have repaired, reinstalled several times. Rebooted. Actually life was good for about 12 hours, then I added archiving (had not in the past), and had one archive take place. Now it won't stay up for more than 10 seconds (yes, I counted). I have compacted the pst file. I can not find 'scanpst.exe' that was referenced in the JVMorris dialog. Strangely, if I get into the database manager portion, it does not crash until I exit...then it crashes immediately.
Any new thoughts on this? Where is 'scanpst.exe'? I do not get an option to run scanpst when in the repair/reinstall mode.
