I'm backing up some jobs to tape for long term storage, and ran into a bit of an issue.
I combined all jobs into a single co-located protected group to optimize tape usage.
However, last weekend the tape drive was offline during the scheduled backup and it failed.
When I had it retry the backups, it completely ignored the co-located settings and rather than using 2-3 tapes, used 9-10.
What can I do if this happens again to ensure the tape backup optimized usage if I have to manually resume backups again? I can't afford to waste 10 tapes just because of needing to resume rather than let it run scheduled.
