I'm currently using Windows 7 Pro on a laptop and I'm looking to pickup a new Toshiba laptop.
Some new Toshiba models offer Windows 8.1 with a downgrade option to Windows 7 Pro, whereas a couple of the machines I'm considering only offer Windows 8.1
I'm not connecting to a domain with this laptop.
What are the practical differences I will see with Windows 8.1 vs. Win 7 Pro (if I use Windows 8.1 with the legacy interface)? Will some programs not work?
