Hello,
I'm trying to set up a little printing network (will NOT be going online) for a friend. I don't remember anywhere near these problems setting my network printer up!
Printer - Brother HL-2270DW - printing wirelessly just fine
Computer - HP Win 8 (not 8.1) laptop
Router - Belkin F5D7230-4 version 2000 (yes, I know but neither of us can afford a new one)
Since the printer works fine it's just noted for a parts list.
Computer can get online through MY Verizon network just fine but simply will not connect with the Belkin wirelessly.
I've run the troubleshooter and it claimed that the encryption types were inconsistent. The problem seems to be that the Belkin lists WPA + PKS + WPA2 + PKS etc but W8 has things listed as "personal" or "enterprise" and I don't see WPA2. Yes, I shut it all down right now before it went out the freaking window.
Can anyone give me some suggestions for the next time I tackle this hell?
