Hi BBR! Hope everyones 2015 is going well thus far!
So I have a weird question, I wasn't able to come up with a way to search this that would give me any hits on Google, so I figured I would ask here and see if you guys could help me out.
What I would like to know is can a virus load from a non-boot disk? Let me ask it this way. If I took what was a C drive in computer a and I mounted it on to computer b as a slave with no boot option, meaning that the disk will only be a slave and no allowed to be booted from, and there was a virus on that C drive, could the virus still spread to my computer? So let's say that while mounted, I am not running anything from that disk, I have no searched the disk, I have done nothing to invoke that disk. Can it spread a virus to my computer? (possible via the indexing service maybe?)
Thanks guys!
