Apologies if Outlook is not the proper group for this, but it was the most closely related (email client) and WLM is akin to Outlook Express.
Been using Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 8.1 Pro w/Media Center for since Feb 2014 when new notebook was purchased.
WLM client is configure as IMAP over SSL connection (TLSV1.2).
Suddenly today I noticed that most of the recent messages had vanished from the inbox. But lots of older messages remained. Logged into the web mail and all the messages were still there in the inbox. :huh:
So went to the WLM client inbox folder properties and in the local file tab selected to delete all headers and message bodies. Then next time the account sync'ed all the headers and messages where downloaded from the server.
Why would this happen (messages vanish from inbox), and how can it be prevented / avoided from occurring again in the future?
