This is why Flash should never be baked into anything, while you may be able to disable it, but now we're back to the days of Win 9x where lack of action can leave their users vulnerable. Combining your software with 3rd party software with a history of severe vulnerabilities is a horrible idea, especially when you can't quickly release an update. At least when Chrome has built-in flash they're quick with the updates. Even on my linux I've had the updated version of Chrome with the latest flash, and the browser plugin for Firefox since yesterday 7/14. Firefox had quickly acted to block the latest current version of flash in their browser to protect their users until they could get the update. Microsoft? Not so much. Back in the days of Win 9x they also used to include flash, and stopped. If your 9x still had hacktivex flash included for IE it was highly suggested by others you remove it immediately as it was a vulnerable version on new installs. So Microsoft failed to learn from it's own history, and we continue of doing this song and dance. The only reason they did it again in the first place was those stupid RT tablet, and they're dead now along with the dodo and the zune, windows tablets are already running intel x86/64 atom processors with real windows. Yet we still have to deal with Microsoft's decision to force flash on us in an opt-out style. Those with Win 7 and Vista can sit happy knowing they still have choice of not installing flash if they don't want to, and updating it when there is an update available. -- I distrust those people who know so well what god wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires- Susan B.
