Error 1327.Invalid Drive: L:\
Windows 7 Pro SP1 newly installed, all updates
Norten installed, did a full scan before installation attempts
Windows firewall disabled
20G memory, 500G hd
3 Netgear ReadyNas Network drives 2-Duo, 1 Ultra 2 Plus. All current firmware
Main shares on drives are mapped (L:) (M:) (N:)
I dont know if this belongs here or the network forum, so Ill try here first.
So when I try to install IMSI TurboCad 20 Deluxe(x64) or 19(x32) I get the above error message. Ive been able to install the program into my other Windows 7 PRO machines that also have SP1 and all updates. All machines have the same OS,Norten (all updates). So it seems its something that is wrong with this machine. Ive tried to install it from:
Network drive L,M,N
Copying file to C: and install from there
Download the file, instead of saving I run it straight from the download screen
Ive deleted the mapped drive (L:)
Turned off the network drive where (L:) resides
Turned off all NAS devices
Disable Norton
The installer will expand the files and it seems when the actual installing starts, is when I get the error. I tried searching for the installer program on the machine and ended up with i28 files. I have not had any other issues installing other programs on this machine. Some of the programs are sitting in L: and installed without issue.
Searching on the net yielded that there are problems with Installer 5.0 which Im figuring that this may not be the problem as it does not produce an installer error. Ive tracked down that 1327 is a certificate error (which the Netgear interface produces when run (web based)), but when the NAS is totally bypassed, why would this error be produced.
TIA
Kevin Herr
