I was defragging a XP machine with a portable defragger and noticed it struggling with 219,276 (670MB) .dat files in the following folder:
C\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Setting\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\Active
The files looked like this:
RecoveryStore.{OOA1A115-8888-11E2-85E7...
Is anyone sure as to what they are and can I definitively delete these files?
