Windows 7 machine about 3 years old ???
Recently I have been having issues sending mail using WLM which has never been a problem before. I can receive but not send and that is imperative.
Maybe it was anti virus, spyware protection, a recent update?
Uninstalled all the usual suspects including Windows Essentials, rebooted, downloaded a fresh copy of WL Essentials 12.
Installed it and it automatically imported all the messages, contacts, setting and rules that I had backed up.
I did NOT want it to do that.
Uninstalled yet again using Revo Uninstaller and it seems there was a lot more to uninstall.
Downloaded another fresh copy just in case.
Install which programs? There were several to choose from but MAIL was grayed out and said "this item will be updated". I backed out of the install.
I would like to install either Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail nice and fresh and clean so I can add all the setting and choose which accounts. I have several GMail accounts, 2 from my ISP and 2 for my business.
I also rolled back my computer to last week but still have a problem sending e mails.
I open NEW and when I attempt to add the contact or the subject or the actual body of the text I get a message "A program has caused Mail to stop working. Please close this program and try again" yet I cannot close Mail no matter what I try. I have to use task manager and stop the process.
Can any one help me start this over? I have no e mail program right now and no evidence of one anywhere on this machine. Reinstalling it and finding the same stuff will be very very bad.
The last thing I did before I received these errors was run CCleaner and go to bed.
