Last night I tried to start Edge from the taskbar, nothing happened. Tried to use the Windows button to Restart, nothing happened. I used CTRL ALT DEL to get to Power, Restart. Found that Wiindows had Updates to install and it did and rebooted, taking some time to get through all the updates. Checked for More Updates, which takes a long time but there were none.
Computer slept overnight. This morning I was watching video in Chrome, and the sound stopped suddenly. I checked the Windows volume, the video's volume, reloaded the video, still silent. I tried to start Edge from the taskbar, nothing happened. Tried to use the Windows button, taskbar icon, nothing happened. Again I had to CRL ALT DEL to reboot the computer. Went back into Chrome and the sound was fine again. The reboot is a lot slower than Win 7 was, even without any updates.
What's going on that the WIndows menu and Edge stopped functioning twice?
