I have been using Windows Server 2012 Essentials for a couple of years now and it works great. It makes backups of all the PCs and laptops at home everyday.
Now all the PCs and laptops at home are running wireless. The server too. The server keeps on backing up all the devices and I can restore files and folders without a problem.
I've read that you can't restore a PC from a client backup using a wireless network. Which probably renders the system backup/restore function useless in my case.
I wonder if it would work connecting the server and a PC directly with a network cable - perhaps a crossover cable. Otherwise I'd have to pull two 10 m. cables through a window to reach the router. Something I'd rather not :)
