We have 4 PCs running Win7 Ultimate. I went through the whole process of registering for the Win10 upgrade in... what... June? Today, with no update on any of the machines I finally bit the bullet and went through the whole manual process on 1 machine. Finally worked after figuring-out I had to log-in as the admin (elevated on a limited account didn't work) before it would proceed.
Anyway. So now I've got 1 PC with a legit WinPro activation. I also downloaded the ISO file and have it burned to a disk.
Question: what, if anything, do I need to do now to allow me to run a clean install on the same machine in the future? Does the update write to BIOS? Do I need to extract some kind of key from the existing install?
Considering the hoops I had to jump through to get the upgrade to work, I'm not too comfy with tackling a clean install.
Thanks for any info.
