I bought an Intel Wifi Link 1000 wireless "n" card for my Samsung NP-R522 laptop. My previous Atheros card is fine but only 801.11 a/b/g compliant.
For whatever reason the card refuses to work on my Windows 7 64bit OS with error: "This device cannot start" (code 10)
I have tried installing numerous Intel drivers and even covered PCIe pin 20 to circumvent possible wireless toggle switches.
When I boot up a live cd of Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS the card works flawlessly at full speed! I am absolutely stumped
Would Microsoft or Samsung have a whitelist on Intel cards? hmm
