[WIN10] Easier way to change security on multiple nested files/folders

I had to reinstall Win 10 on my roomie's PC, since for some reason it upgraded a 64 bit Win7 to a 32 bit Win10. That went well; however, now I cannot access files/folders on my secondary drive because I don't have permission. Using the Security tab does work, but I have hundreds of folders and thousands of files and this method does not work on subfolders or files within them. Would it be possible to mount this drive in Linux (latest Mint) and copy them over to strip the security off them, or is there software out there that could do this much easier? Thanks ahead of time for taking the time to think about this and respond. -- "Be who you is - 'cause if you ain't who you is, you is who you ain't"
