Is there much of a performance difference when running Windows 7 in an UEFI/GPT configuration rather than the traditional Legacy/MBR way?
Or is UEFI/GPT more for the extra protection of the boot sector and large hard drive support?
My motherboard can run Windows 8 and Windows 10 in UEFI mode no trouble at all with 'secure boot' and 'ultra fast' boot enabled with an 'Beta BIOS' (Win 8 compatible) but the latest stable BIOS has less UEFI support and is more aimed for Windows 7.
The goal is to get the most out of my system and have Windows 7 boot with the less time as possible. I have all ready disabled unwanted services and startup programs.
