I read recently that a number of people are having significant problems installing new fonts on their Win10 systems. The general solution appears--very bizarrely, I might add--that one needs to turn on Windows Firewall and if you are using a 3rd party firewall, you may have to uninstall it to be able to turn on the Windows-based firewall. Some have noted that turning on Windows Firewall once does the trick and that one can then (re)install the 3rd party firewall.
Has anyone else run into this issue--I've not seen anything posted here about it?
Note: I'm Win7/Pro based and have absolutely no intention of ever installing Win10 but I'm curious about this font installing issue.
