Dell tablet, Bitlocked, no password, can't boot USB to erase

I have a tablet from my dad that he didn't use much, and had forgotten the windows 8 password. No big deal I thought. It had no important data and I could just reload the OS. What a nightmare.! It apparently had bitlocker used on it, which of course I don't have any key for. But now Ive messed with the bios settings that regardless I can't even boot into the password locked windows 8 anymore because of "recent changes to your bit locker profile" or some such error. This tablet is UEFI only, I don't know the model, 7 or 8 inch tablet. Ive tried everything.. I don't care about the data on it, I just want to erase and reload, I have a UEFI formatted USB windows 10 key that it sees but it ALWAYS boots to this bit locker blue screen asking for a key regardless of the boot priority settings and regardless if secure boot is disabled or not.' How does one erase and reload these things? Thanks -- OptionsDSL Wireless Internet http://www.optionsdsl.ca
