My daughter has Office 2010 Student on her laptop at College. It pretty much doesn't work anymore. I can't even find WINWORD.EXE or EXCEL.EXE on the disk anymore. Every time she tries to open any of the products, the splash screen hangs, but the Event Viewer shows:
Attempting Transport Connection URL: """http://c2r.microsoft.com/HomeStudentC2R/en-us/14.0.4763.1000/HomeStudentC2R.en-us_14.0.7160.5000.sft Error: 12B0310A-00000124"""""
--and this is a 477MB file... Did she possibly shut the machine down when Office was trying to update itself? Below, are various error messages that I can collect
out of the Event Viewer. What's that .sft file? Should I let it download in the background & see what happens? The internet wants to sell me utilities that will open it, but nothing is telling me what Office is doing with this huge sft file....
