I run Windows Home Server 2011 with 5 Windows 7 clients.
Somewhere in the last 2 or 3 days, the server has been reporting 'monitoring error' for 4 of the clients. The 1 that is 'healthy' varies randomly. I wondered whether the 'good one' was the last one to log in via the dashboard, or the last one to run the health-reporting task, but nothing seems clear. It's just random.
(An occasional 'monitoring error' was normal-ish, particularly from the laptops that tend to get abruptly 'slept', but nothing like this, and nothing affecting the entire population at once)
I'm suspecting some update that I installed on the server (since as far as the clients are concerned I am a few days behind with my update chores). I uninstalled some likely ones, including C runtimes and .NET security updates, to no avail.
Anyone else seen this? I have found nothing recent on the 'net.
