Posted on this about a year ago. Unfortunately, still no solution.
Back then when I tried to get free 8.1 update from store I was informed a specific update was needed (kb2802618). d/l'd it. Confirmed install then it disappeared. Store does not see it and it is gone from update folder. Tried multiple times with same results. Even a manual install. Tried other updated that were recommended. No luck. cleaner didn't help either.
Update folder is empty even when asked to show hidden, aside from one windows and one Adobe update.

There have been no Windows updates in over a year. any solution?
