The organization that I do some side work for will probably get to Windows 10 some day.
I think the W10 start menu is crap and distracting. I'd rather use classic shell all day. However I want to eventually not rely on a third party tool. I figure if Windows can retain custom settings they're stored somewhere.
time to do things;
1. Unpin all the dumb tiles
2. Powershell:
Export-StartLayout -Path C:\customlayout.xml
3. Powershell:
Import-StartLayout -LayoutPath 'C:\users\All Users\Desktop\customlayout.xml'-MountPath c:\ -verbose
Please see the attachments. This is what happens after I unpin everything and shrink it down.
Essentially the question is how can I remove the obnoxious black bar screen and keep the desired results for all new default users?
Thanks.
