Hey guys --
I know this is not 'new' information, but it can be lost and new to some people browsing.
Some people are on the fence still with 27.5 hours (right now) remaining to upgrade to W10 -- There is really no reason at all not to at least 'reserve' a copy that will be tied to your computers hardware forever - without having to actually use Windows 10, or even have Windows installed at all (you could run linux and in 2 years install W10 and it will activate this way.)
Basically,.. you go ahead and let it upgrade your computer. Then after complete. You roll back to your previous windows version.
That locks in the digital key/certification to your hardware for whenever you do want to try W10 again, or actually use it. It's just a 'safe' thing to do to prevent a $120 fee should you ever change your mind, or W10 become better/change some of the issues you may have with it.
That's all I will put in this post - A very detailed article on how to do this and how to do it if you are very picky/concerned about replicating your system as it is right now with ZERO changes from a W10 upgrade -- To be, imo, smart.

Who knows,.. some people may just want W10 to release a few more updates for another year or so to see how it matures (and how the new 'microtransaction/ some things are on subscription' model go -- Not to mention if they , perhaps, get enough pressure from users to back off their telemetry some, etc... down the road.
Just a heads up to anyone who didn't hear of this/realize this is how it was digitally 'tied' in activation/key wise.
