About a week ago, I carried my laptop to the local library and sat down to do some "work" [played Minecraft instead].
Anyhow, I noticed that when I logged onto my machine, Win8 "alerted" me that I was in off line mode, because it couldn't connect to the library's wifi [I didn't allow it to].
I am familiar with Steam's off line mode. That you have to sit it up as off line, before you actually go off line. So you can play Steam games that you have downloaded without Steam checking the DRM online.
By failing to put Steam in an off line mode, the games maybe blocked for use.
Anyhow, I was wondering if by being "off line" some how cause windows 8 to limit some features, due to being unable to verify ownership on line.
I didn't notice any such limitations, but then again, all I did was play minecraft for about 30 minutes.
