I installed it on two PC's. One was domain-joined (my work laptop), one was not (my home workstation).
I noticed the following things:
1) Classic Shell was no longer supported. However, this was easily fixed by downloading the new version (4.30, released July 30th) from their website. This said however, I lost all the previous settings on the domain-joined computer. (See below).
2) On my domain-joined laptop, I lost all of my FireFox settings. The profile just disappeared, along with - as I soon discovered - ALL MY APPDATA ROAMING entries in my profile!! Luckily, we sync that folder to the network as part of offline folder sync so I was able to copy back all my settings, barring a few abnormalities such as the Classic Shell settings being reset. After restoring all from my server sync folder, everything appears to be in order. But just to be sure..... make a backup of your Appdata\Roaming folder in your user profile. My home PC had no such problems, so I am suspecting this had something to do with my offline folder sync, and perhaps not being able to reach that folder DURING the installation. (My network connection is on a docking station, which drivers loaded only after I got to the desktop for the first time, as it was "installing devices...". So it was all explainable, but if you are in a similar situation, backups may be in order before you upgrade.
3) Office 2016 required itself to install or re-install components. No biggy, it just did its thing for a minute or two and Outlook fired up without a hitch.
All in all though it seems to have gone without too much trouble. The biggest trouble I found was related to domain offline folder sync, it just wiped my appdata folder without remorse..... thank you backups :)
