I had to get a new disc ( that is replacing a data disc, NOT OS) because my current one is showing signs of bad sectors. So I picked up a 3Tb Seagate. Using bootable Seatool Disc wizard I am coping the old one 1.5 to the new one 3Tb. When doing this process I was given the option of formatting using GPT to be able to use the full 3Tb or 2.7 TB ;). Now my MB is new it saw the 3Tb in the BIOS, so my mobo can support it. Is this the proper format for using on my win 7 64 computer? my OS is on a 320 GB drive and MBR formatted. This is new territory for me.
