I know this is going to seem like a stupid question but please bare with me, I need to know whether I have to shell out for a larger SSD before I even attempt this :hmm:
Currently running Win 7 64 bit Ultimate edition and purchased an upgrade to Win 8 Pro. The HDD space requirements to install are listed as 20GB and I only have 12GB free on a 120GB SSD.
Already ripped out everything from the C: drive that I could, aside from a tax software program and the "My Docs" folder was moved to the mechanical D: drive long ago.
Is 20GB free space absolutely required for an "in place" upgrade? If so, new SSD shopping is on my list of things to do I guess
