I'm using BGInfo to display a customized background throughout my company with Group Policy. It works fine on our Windows 7 systems.
However, on Windows XP, this happens when a user logs into a computer for the first time:
1. They log on, and the wallpaper quickly changes to the one that we want (BGInfo successfully updates the background).
2. That small window in the upper-left of the screen that users see on first logon (something along the lines of "setting up your personalized settings..." or something like that) gets to "Themes" and the wallpaper changes back to the default Windows XP hill.
Subsequent logons to the same workstation with that user account are fine - since that new user setup screen doesn't come up, Windows doesn't overwrite the settings that BGInfo has set.
So, is there any way to get this to work on XP systems for first-time logons?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
