[IE] IE 10 often will not close

An odd thing recently started happening with IE 10. I will either click the x to close a tab or click the x to close IE10 and nothing happens. Sometimes I can still use the tab to navigate normally and other times I can't do anything with the effected tab. It I will not get a "not responding" text either. If I have a tab open that refuses to close, I can open a new tab and it works normally and closes normally. Whatever it is, just effects only one tab at a time. If I have a stuck tab, I can open a new tab then close the one that was stuck previous. The tab I just opened is now stuck and unable to close. I can right click on this tab and "close tab" is grayed out. If I open a second tab. I can right click and close EITHER tab but once there is only one tab remaining, it becomes grayed out again. When this happens (several times daily), the only way to close IE is via the task manager. I have performed a virus scan and have run Malware Bytes with no baddies reported by either. The tab I am in right now typing this post will not close but everything still works on this tab. Any ideas? EDIT: I just went in to the reliability history to see if I could see when this started happening and the reliability monitor simply ends on 8/11 with "Internet Explorer Stopped Working". Coincidence?? Windows 8 Pro
