A couple months ago I setup a PC for a friend. This PC came loaded with Windows8 and Office 365. After setting up the machine I verified that all apps functioned correctly. A couple weeks ago she reported that she was unable to open any of the Office apps. I finally had an opportunity to look at the machine today. When you attempt to open any of the Office apps it says that an error occurred and stops loading the application. I verified that the application is registered, etc. I did discover that if I click on run as Administrator the applications launch and function normally. Her account is an administrator account. I tried repairing Office but there were no changes. I did the upgrade (free) to Windows 8.1, I know it was naïve to think that this would correct the problem, but it was worth a try. It did not correct the problem. Has anyone had a similar experience like this. I am stumped at this point.
