I regularly use Macs but in my office there is a computer that is used like a server. that computer crapped out and I bought a simple HP computer. It has Windows 8 on it. It was running well for a few days and then one morning I came in and it was off and then I restarted it and got a message after booting up that there was a problem. The screen talked about a memory dump. I didn't think anything of it and then a few days later the same thing happened. I then downloaded "whocrashed" and it tells me that there is an issue with Ntoskrnl.exe. I googled it and that file seems like an important windows file.
I'm not used to using Windows. Can someone help me out and tell me what I can do to fix this problem?
