Now that I'm using a hybrid laptop I'm thinking it would be useful to have a way to easily simulate a hover for legacy applications. My laptop came with an interesting utility but it has some drawbacks.
What I think would be great is a combination of Ctrl + touch to simulate a cursor hover. However, I haven't seen anything like this. I'm thinking it would have to be done at the driver level.
I'm getting by without because I managed to find keyboard shortcuts to replace the hover functionality (Visual Studio's Smart Tags) that I need. Actually I've found the keyboard shortcuts to be a bit more efficient anyway.
Has anyone seen anything that can simulate/trigger hover events?
Yes, I know hover is dead but we still have legacy applications that use it. I think hover may return anyway once technology can better support it. Eye tracking would be cool :).
