Just purchased a "new to us" HP laptop with intel 330m i3 processor.
Unless I'm mistaken, the laptop does not appear to have a separate video card or video chip.
Wife is not too please with the display, mostly because it is both "too blue" and too "washed out".
We've made some changes in control panel/display/ brightness and color calibration that help some, but Windows 7 is not saving the color calibration changes we make. That's so even though at the end of the change color calibration pages we are clicking on the option that says "save current" calibration. That is to save the changes that we've made. But as soon as we exit the calibration program it reverts to the old default settings even though we told W7 to save our changes.
W7 is saving the brightness changes made, however.
So, how do we get W7 to save the color calibration, gamma, and other changes?
P.S. compared with our over 10 year old Toshiba laptop and an even older Sony laptop, the new HP laptop's display is definitely less white and more blueish. All and all, the old laptop displays were far superior in my opinion. Not just on this one, but on others we've seen in stores as well. Why's that?
