ReadyBoost on Windows 7?

1.) Windows 7 SP1 2.) 3G System SDRAM 2.) SanDisk Cruzer Glide 16 GB 3.) Formatted to ExFAT 128KB Allocation Generally works fine and even though I don't need it, the idea of it fascinated me. But there is one weird behavior that maybe somebody can explain. So far I've been dedicating the entire Flash drive to ReadyBoost. Fine. But after a while, perhaps after rebooting a few times, I'll go to check the drive and Windows has disabled ReadyBoost saying that I don't have enough available space. Well, duh! It put the .sfcache file there and it used up all available free space but a few megabytes. So if I go in and delete the ReadyBoost.sfcache file and start over: Windows is happy again! ReadyBoost is set for another undetermined amount of time. What's up with that? So this last time, I decided NOT to dedicate the entire drive, selecting "Use Drive" and then setting the usage to a portion of the entire available space. I will see how long it last this time. Weird. Of course the extra little snap I do notice in Explorer and a few other places is not worth the headache. So if it don't start behaving, I'll start using the Cruzer as a small storage place.
