We have a server 2012 r2 machine with 2 network cards.
One is connected to a main network and doesn't have any issues.
The other is a direct connection to a line I plug into for accessing an FTP server.
What we're seeing is when the server is freshly booted, I'm getting the full gigabit connection to the FTP server when I pull files. After a day or so, I can barely pull 10mbit. The connection on both ends shows it negotiated at 1000mbit (and I've tried manually setting it to 1000mbit). The only thing that works is rebooting the server and then I'm getting full speed again.
The card in question is an 2 port Intel Pro 10/100/1000 PT.
I'm at a loss for what to look at. Nothing else uses that line as it's a direct connection between me and the server.
