Did you find an answer to your problem? This EXACT problem is happening right now on my work's network. It happened slowly several months ago (March 2014) and is unbearable and constant non stop all day long for everyone on campus using a desktop, laptop, ipad or any other device. It also happens during vpn off campus ... happening to me right now at home so I am researching and reading until it responds. The IT department has no idea what is going on. The entire campus is experiencing 'not responding' problems on all programs but NOT internet activity!!!... specifically our campus database and shared drives and our cloud based email (when using Outlook only... the internet version is fine) ... are not responding the most thus receiving the most complaints because they are used the most. The IT department believes it is the database from a recent system upgrade and has exhausted all free customer service hours with the database company. They are paying them additional service hours to find a solution and they have been looking for a week with no solution. My personal assistant had to get 3 new computers (different not new) in an effort to help test the changes ... no success. I do not work in the IT department but work in the database department and have an IT degree but do not get paid IT wages. If I can fix this problem for the campus I could get a BIG FAT RAISE!!! Ha Ha Ha ... PLEASE respond with a solution that I understand. BASIC language to tell the IT Director. THANKS!!!
