I work from home and use a VPN to access network resources. The VPN (Sonicwall client) is started AFTER I log in.
An issue I have is that if I forgot to disconnect any network shares that go through the VPN, my next login hangs for a bit, then finally finishes and pops up a message that it couldn't connect to the shares (duh...) I have gotten into the habit of doing a NET USE before logging off and making sure to disconnect any shares.
My old computer (Win2K of all things) didn't have an issue with this. I assume it would only check a network share when I tried to use it, and not during login. Is there a setting in Win7 to have it work like that?
