It worked when I last tried about a year ago I had to move about 40GB worth of files over.. I did not have a crossover cable so I used the auto sense or whatever it's called.. now I need to move about 50 GB worth of video over and I can't get it to see the homegroup and it's going to be painfully slow over wireless.
OK I think it had to do with some of the VMware adapters I used for some VM work I disabled them so I tried to connect again on both ends and it keeps asking me for a password and I don't ever remember entering a password in.
Well now it's working I had to delete the homegroup off on both and I made a new one and when I got to the laptop I saw the desktop saying a homegroup was made and if I wanted to join in which I entered in the password generated by it.. seems to work now
