I have been getting the " S,M.A.R.T. hard drive failure " warning for some time so I just turned it off. I got another HD just in case, backed up everything and ran every HD test and found no errors. I would like to install the new HD in the computer along with the "C"
drive and format, then install my old win 7 64bit on the new drive and leave it hooked up just in case the main drive failed. Question -- can I boot from ether drive or will this work? I would like to slowly build up the new drive with my programs before I trash the old drive.
