So I upgraded my Win7 machine to Win10 a while ago and am now planning a new build. My old machine is going to my brother who will install his own copy of Win7 on it. I want to install the copy of Win10 on my old machine onto my new one.
I am 99.99 percent sure I have/had an retail copy of Win7. I just have no idea how to go about the install. I did a USB-based clean install on my old machine a month ago. Do I just do the same thing on the new one and hope it works?
I have had to contact MS over the years about Win7 activation with previous builds which I presume I will have to do here? I am just nervous about how Win10 registers? itself now.
