But it does involve cloning an MS machine.
Here's the deal...
We use Clonezilla to quickly configure new computers at work. We simply insert the thumbdrive that has clonezilla on it, boot from it then when prompted, plug in the external HDD that has the image. And go to town on it.
Well I was wondering, is it possible to have Clonezilla and the images on one drive?
There is point during Clonezilla where you have to insert the drive that has the image on it and then hit enter.
In this scenario, could I simply remove the drive after Clonezilla started running and then plug it back in when it asks for it?
Also...is it possible to copy a cloned image from one external drive to another? I tried this, and when running clonezilla, it said no image was found on the drive. So that must mean it's looking for some kind of file before looking for the actual saved image. I just don't know what that file might be.
