I've been reading about this on the Interwebs... Wanted to know what people here thought.. I was concerned, because usually when an app crashes, it just crashes, it doesn't shut your machine down. One plausible cause I saw, was that somehow I got ahold of a plugin that had some pieces of DEV code in it, so that when it crashes, it's actually designed to shut the machine down. ---Obviously not desirable in production.. anyway, Windows Event Viewer says:
plugin-container.exe Application Error: The exception breakpoint -- a breakpoint has been reached. 0x8000003 has occured in the application at location 0x74b0f0ea.
A few seconds after this occurs, Windows shuts down. The EventViewer says: Explorer.exe has initiated power-off on behalf of MyLaptopname\MyUserName
What gives? I've been in the IT field for 19 years, and have never seen this before...
