[Excel] Top 10 Pivot Table Filter Issue

Running Excel 2007 on Vista Ultimate SP2. The dialog for this filter has a drop-down list that is supposed to allow filtering a pivot table by Item, Percent, or Sum of a selected field. The "field" I am trying to filter contains only numeric values but my only choice is Item. My work-around is to convert the data to percentages and play with the Top X until I have the right number of Items filtered to identify those "records" that comprise the desired percentage - say the 30 of 400 records that comprise 45% of total of the selected field. This is a real PITA for a number of reasons. Why don't all three selections (Item, Precent, Sum) appear in the dialog?
