I currently run Win7-64 Ultimate on my desktop computer. I have a separate partition where I have installed Win8-64 Pro. The "My Documents" folder for the Win7 is on a separate disk, my D: drive, and I would like to share it (it has all my documents, music, photos, videos, etc.) seamlessly between Win7 and Win8, however I'm running into ownership/permission issues. Of course, the folder/files were created on the Win7 system, when I booted Win8 and changed it's My Documents to point to the D: drive, I ran into the ownership/permission problem. I allowed it to take ownership. Then when I boot Win7, it has the same issue.
Is it impossible to share the folders? I've run into many problems, even when I take ownership, some files/folders remain a problem to some applications and especially my libraries. Much of my music and photos especially become unavailable to one or the other OS. Until I become more comfortable with Win8, I want to run a dual-boot system and share the folders, but if that is not possible, I will just forget about Win8.
